Hello, my name is Rudy.
Living in Michigan for over 45 years, I still enjoy spending a couple of weeks vacation in Schoenwald and the region around it. I believe that the beauty and the charm of this region is well worth a visit.
To keep me occupied in my retirement I started publishing a couple websites and blogs.
Besides a recipe site in German and English I am researching and publishing a sightseeing guide for Bavaria and a Bavaria4U blog. The front page to these can be found at ggmdirect.com.
Last year friends of mine wanted to spend some time at our condo. To make it easier for them I collected some of the information and helped them plan their stay. They made Schoenwald their base, explored the region and went to stay in the Alps for a few days. The feed back I received from them can be summarized with one word: “Great”. They want to go back.
Their initial fear about communication was put to rest early in their stay, when they had no problem to order their Schnitzel and beer. They enjoyed the nearby old cities, places and quaint little towns and also the thrill of driving on the Autobahn.
Besides the stay is affordable if you stay in the town’s weekly vacation rentals.
I hope by publishing this, some of you realize that a vacation in the center of Europe does not have to cost and arm and a leg and can easily be added to your bucket list.
