This historic town is well worth a visit.
The local castle was introduced in the Ghost Hunter TV series.
Ten of us rented a bus with a driver and did this trip in day, with a lot of driving. Left early in the morning and arrived there around noon, explored the city all afternoon. Had a great dinner at the Eggenberg Brewery restaurant. As we had a driver tasting their beer was no problem and we all enjoyed it so much that we took some along for the way home. Arrived back home after midnight.
This town which was never modernized takes you right back to medieval times.
Driving time is about 4½ hours one way and most of it on country roads!
